How long do I have to appeal after a refusal?

If you are inside the UK, you typically have 14 calendar days from the date you receive the refusal decision. If you are outside the UK, you usually have 28 days. Missing the deadline can mean losing your right to appeal.

What types of decisions can I appeal?

We handle appeals for visa refusals, deportation orders, asylum rejections, and certain human rights claims. Not every decision is appealable, but our team can advise you on whether you have the right to challenge it.

Where will my appeal be heard?

Most immigration appeals start at the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber). If your appeal is unsuccessful, you may be able to take it to the Upper Tribunal or higher courts, depending on the case.

Do I need to attend the hearing?

In most cases, yes — attending gives you the opportunity to give evidence and answer questions. We prepare you thoroughly so you feel confident on the day.

How long does the appeal process take?

Timescales vary depending on the tribunal’s caseload and the complexity of your case. Some appeals are decided within a few months, while others may take longer. We always aim to expedite the process where possible.
